Jerry Painchaud, LMT, MMP, CST
Therapeutic and Medical Massage Therapist
Specializing in Orthopedic and Medical Massage
with a focus on range of motion and chronic pain issues.
Education: BSME, Spa Tech School of Massage, On-going CEU Classes
I am a nationally certified Medical Massage Therapist licensed in Maine. I am also a nationally certified Strength Trainer. I became interested in massage therapy while rehabilitating from severe shoulder injuries. Since I have a background in mechanical engineering, i recognized the relationship principles to body movements. In order to advance my recovery, I became a student of Anatomy and Physiology and used the engineering principles to develop my own rehabilitative techniques. After receiving my massage license, I taught Anatomy and Physiology for eleven years while maintaining a private practice. I continued to study ground-breaking techniques with various nationally recognized practitioners. I have subsequently created my own successful techniques to alleviate pain and to improve range of motion for my clients. I believe that rehabilitation must be gentle, compassionate and pain-free in order to maximize the bodies ability to respond and heal. I teach my clients how to maintain their restored movement so they can return to an active life.
My ideal client is anyone interested in improving their health and well being which may require a willingness to incorporate stretching and strengthening in their daily activities.
Testimonial: Jerry is the only practitioner of any kind to help the pain in my hip. I have lived
with the pain for 30 years. He's the best!
